> Check if the cat has a collar or tag visible and call the contact details if it does.
> If the cat is injured please contact local vets and rescues to see if they can assist in transporting the cat to a vets if you do not feel it is safe to do yourself.
> If the cat appears lost or disorientated and it is safe to do so, take the cat to your local vets in a cat carrier to scan for a microchip
> If transporting the cat isn't an option then please contact us, a local cat rescue or scan angels whose details can be found here.
> Printing and applying a paper collar with your details asking the owners to contact or confirm ownership is advisable if the cat is friendly and approachable. Templates can be found here.
> Checking with your neighbours and in the local area to see if anyone has had a cat go missing.
> Posting photos of the cat with a description onto social media can also be a great way to help reunite a lost cat. Please always get the owners to send proof of ownership before giving over a cat
> If after all attempts to locate an owner have been unsuccessful please contact us or other local rescues for help.
